tending ideas with care.

relational media is a process of writing, curating, making, sharing. and liking. and commenting. it’s familiar but not the same - it’s emerging, slow, always in formation.

relational media was initially created because i wanted to share ideas and receive feedback with care and thoughtfulness, and i imagined my friends may be nourished by that too.

i hope it can be a way to experience and explore the union between deep relationality and public thinking and writing, method and making, dreaming and motion.

there are longings at the heart of this -

may we connect meaningfully and create conditions to nourish tender, fledgling, wobbly, and un-fixed ideas.

may we hold these ideas in mutual care and responsibility so that they may change and strengthen.

may we foster vital love, time, and connection that together create the conditions for expansiveness, courage and creativity.

may we be public and intellectual with our hearts, hands, hips, minds, mouths, eyes, spirits, and may we create the conditions of that possibility.

may we thread small networks of tangible knowledge-building where we engage with trustworthiness, kindness, consent and honest feedback with time to think it through.

may we stretch always toward the pleasurable, joyful practice of nourishing our creative voices, our malleable minds and our boundless and beating hearts.
